The thing about Cats...

...is that they love the limelight, as long as it is purely on their terms and you manage your expectations well enough to know, it's never going to be about you!

In the dysfunctional one-sided relationship stakes, Cats really are the masters and if they were big enough, you would definitely be a contender for their next big lunch!

But isn't that why we love them so much!? ...so it's really no wonder that cat owners go nuts for a portrait of their most beloved furry felines!

Here are just a few I have created and all of these are digital paintings as digital art is fast becoming the medium of choice, being proven to be more cost-effective, versatile, and environmentally friendly as well!

Please enjoy browsing and if you have any questions at all about the process and how to go about getting an artwork of your feline friend, then please don't hesitate to contact me via the link in the header.

Maxie

Meet Maxie. His owners wanted a portrait of him to go with the collection of pet portraits they have had done over the years of all their furry friends.  They loved it!

This one is a digital work using a tablet in ArtRage 5

Callister

This is Callister sitting on his Mum's lap in her garden. She wanted me to capture his regal posture but to change the background and have him sitting on a red velvet cushion, so I duly obliged.

Again, this is a digital painting and the customer loved the result!

This is Fred, lounging on the back of the couch looking so cool and comfortable his owner took a photo on his phone and sent it to me to re-create as a digital painting.

Those claws and his beautiful green eyes were a pleasure to paint!

You can order a print of this lovely boy from the gallery shop here so you can enjoy his sparkling emerald eyes too!

This is Wilko, my own beloved moggy who has long since passed. He was my constant studio companion and I still miss him to this day, so creating this portrait from the snapshot I took was a bittersweet pleasure.

This is a digital pastel painting and a print of it can be ordered via the gallery shop on this site...just click the link
