We all have albums, boxes and sometimes, cupboards full of old photographs, going back decades and when families merge, that collection can grow to a sizeable proportion.
Most of these photographs remain unseen, languishing in the dark, unloved and forgotten.
Fortunately, I take great pleasure in digging them out and enjoy utilising some of them as inspiration for my artworks.
This is one such piece. It is called 'Mother's Meeting' and depicts a version of the three women (distant relatives of my husband's family) as the focal point for a colourful collaged image.
