Welcome to my portraiture showcase where you can browse the full extent of my expertise in the area of capturing a likeness in a broad range of mediums. Although I work from reference photographs, I aim to use them only as a 'jumping-off point' and to use the medium of choice to transcend the throwaway nature of the typical phone 'snapshot' and create something that reflects the true personality, nature, and character of the subject.
I have included the supplied reference photographs to further illustrate how my work is successful in capturing more than just a straightforward likeness and how the finished work has an identity of its own, independent of the reference photo.
