Single subject portraits are the most popular and requested commission by far as they are often considered the most valuable in terms of sentimentality not to mention the most demonstrative way to show someone you really care about them.
Photographs tend to be very instant and transient these days as they are mostly taken on a mobile phone and never converted to a physical object.
Although I am often presented with such photos for reference, it is my artistic interpretation and attention to the essential unique character of the subject, that is most sought after.
The selection of works in this gallery, are mostly studies in various mediums of myself or my family members, primarily to showcase my ability to capture a likeness whilst creating an arresting image that is not just a facsimile of the reference photo.
